Dark Raider combines elements of hack & slash games with elements of roguelikes. Basically, there's the chaotic action of the former and the challenge and plot of the latter.
Gameplay in Dark Raider is very intuitive. On the left side of the screen, there's a virtual D-pad for moving, and on the right, there are four basic action buttons to attack, jump, dodge, and block. You can also combine these buttons for special actions. For example, if you block at the right moment, you can parry and counterattack. If you double tap the jump button, on the other hand, you can make a quick attack in the air.
Dungeons in Dark Raider are generated randomly, just like in roguelikes. So every time your character dies, you start over with a completely new dungeon. The only thing that remains the same is the bosses, which, in true Dark Souls fashion, provide a real challenge.
Dark Raider is an excellent action game with touches of role-playing. Not only does it have fun gameplay, but it also has amazing pixelated graphics. It's an outstanding game which requires plenty of skill and patience. Do you have what it takes?
